When using the Inserter feature I can guarantee that any document will be printed and inserted. Any documents failed to insert correctly will be marked Damaged by the Inserter and RPD will create a reprint job with the damaged documents.
However when I have a job with 50k documents (150k pages) and I need to print this on a cutsheet device, it is physically impossible to handle 150k pages in 1 stack. To make it physically possible to carry the cutsheet stack to the inserter, we split the 150k pages jobs into childjobs of each 2000 sheets. Then we have stacks of paper of 2k sheets, where it is physically possible to move the stack to an inserter and possibly insert the stacks on multiple inserters.
However the reconcile step is always in the child job. This means that we have to reconcile every child job independently and reprint every childjob.
It would be much more productive that we can reconcile on the parent job. Then after printing and inserting all child jobs, we can reconcile on the parent and have 1 reprint job.
