With Printers -> Show trays a list with media in the printer is shown. However this is a list which comes from the database and not a real time list. Also when printer property "Data stream to send" is set to JDF, the "Tray information for Printer" shows also non JDF media information
My request is:
- When this screen is opened or when the [Refresh] button is pushed, a real time connection to the printer should be made.
- For printers using JDF, only JDF media information should be shown.
- For printers using JDF, when connection fails RPD should report "connection to printer failed" and should not display the media info
The reason behind this idea is, that sometimes the printer does not report the correct media or does not respons at all. In that situation the operator has no idea what is happening. And RPD might send jobs to the printer while the correct media is NOT on the printer
