Custom REST API Builder

It would be great to be able to build custom REST APIs that trigger workflows in RPD. It could either be as a module or an input device, but I think a module would be more flexible. You could have a module that would receive the REST API call and define the endpoint's parameters; then have a response module that would return any kind of response or failure/success code.
