New workflow builder needs the ability to drop a step on an existing step to replace it

Using the old workflow builder, a user could drop a step onto an existing step in the workflow and get prompted whether they wanted to replace the old step with the new step. This was very helpful when then step had many connectors in or out and only the step itself needed to change, not the logic around it. The new workflow builder does not have that function. Can it be added?
